Libyan man tests positive for coronavirus in Colorado

The Libyan embassy in Washington D.C. announced that a citizen had been infected with the novel coronavirus in the state of Colorado.

The patient is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital and the embassy has contacted his family to check on him and find out their needs, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Government of National Accord, according to a statement.

Alwasat has learned that the citizen is a father of five and he is currently in the intensive care unit of a hospital in the city of Denver.

The Libyan embassy has praised the community’s solidarity during the current circumstances, calling for the utmost care, caution and following preventive measures issued by the local authorities to avoid infection with the virus.
