The Economic Committee for the Provision of Food Commodities of the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Chamber of Commerce conducted an inspection tour of shops and commercial markets in the municipality of Tobruk to follow up and control prices.
The committee assured the citizens during the visit that the supply of goods, food and vegetables will continue.
According to the media office of the Libyan-Egyptian Economic Chamber of Commerce, the committee appealed to citizens not to hoard products, especially since all commodities are available in large quantities and a large reserve stock for exists as a contingency.
The office added that the committee will provide phone numbers for citizens complaints in the event of price gouging as they are operating in coordination with local authorities, the crisis committee of the municipality of Tobruk and the Administrative Control Authority.
The committee also confirmed that a ship arriving from Egypt loaded with all food commodities, necessary materials, medicine and medical supplies was arriving at the port of Tobruk today.
