The spokesman for the Libyan National Army's General Command, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, called on citizens to restrict movement and not go out except for emergencies, stressing that the curfew was not against freedom and not a restriction of liberty but rather to prevent the spread of coronavirus inside Libya.

In a statement, Al-Mismari also called on citizens to strictly adhere to the instructions of the Supreme Committee formed to confront the virus, as well as adhere to public cleanliness, saying: “Stay in your home, pray in your home, stay home,” considering this as the first line of defense to confront the threat of infiltration and spread of the virus inside Libya.

Al-Mismari stressed that "the matter is reassuring in Libya, as there are no cases at the moment," pointing out that these measures aim to keep that the case.
