Tripoli's Mitiga airport evacuates employees and passengers after missile strikes

The Administration of Mitiga International Airport announced the evacuation of airport employees, passengers after they boarded on a Buraq Air flight and the transfer of all flights to the Misrata International Airport, starting on Wednesday.

Operation Volcano of Anger accused General Command forces of targeting the airport with dozens of missiles, which led to the evacuation of staff and travelers. It was not possible for Alwasat to verify this information independently.

Operation Volcano of Anger announced on Monday, the suspension of air traffic at Mitiga airport until further notice, after "targeting of the airport and its surroundings with missile strikes from the General Command forces", traffic returned to the airport on Tuesday.
