Egyptian and Russian foreign ministers discuss the latest developments in the Libyan crisis

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, foremost among which are the crises in Libya and Syria, and ways to push for comprehensive political solutions.

According to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Shoukry received a phone call from Lavrov, which also dealt with the latest developments in the Palestinian issue. The two ministers affirmed the continuation of "supporting efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and just peace for the issue, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions" in a manner that guarantees peace and stability in the entire region.

The two ministers agreed to continue to work towards strengthening bilateral relations in various fields and the importance of continued coordination and consultation on all issues of common concern.
