LNA Spox announces launching of the 'Order of the Martyr' medal which is awarded with a 100,000 dinar payment for families of those killed in action

Libyan National Army spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari announced Marshal Khalifa Haftar's intent to launch what he called "Order of Martyr," a national medal awarded to the families of the martyr's.

Al-Mismari said in a press conference today that the families of those killed in action and are awarded the medal would also receive 100,000 dinars.

The armed confrontations between the forces of the General Command led by Marshal Khalifa Haftar and the forces of the Government of National Accord, have led to the death and injury of thousands, and the displacement of tens of thousands of families according to international organizations.

Activists circulated on social media a decision from the General Command, talking about granting «all martyrs of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces who participated in the dignity revolution and martyr medal», and determine the shape of the martyr medal and his innocence by a decision of the Commander in Chief, while giving each of the families of the family martyr medal One hundred thousand Libyan dinars one-time financial reward.
