GNA Foreign Ministry formally hands protest to Beijing after "use of Chinese drones in the bombing of Tripoli"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Accord said it has formally handed over a protest the charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in protest against the use of "Chinese drones sold to the UAE to bomb civilians in Tripoli," asking China to investigate the matter.

According to a ministry statement, the charge d'affaires of the Chinese embassy confirmed that his country will conduct investigations on the matter, stressing his country's keenness as a permanent member of the Security Council to follow up the implementation of countries' obligations to the Council's resolutions in reference to the decision to ban arms exports to Libya. .

The ministry also asked China to start "consultations when countries to understand their responsibilities when making arms purchases" becuase the attacks have violated UN resolutions.
