Benghazi's Benina International Airport announced Wednesday that flights to and from the airport will be halted until 8 am Thursday.

The administration said flights were stopped due to urgent maintenance of cracks that occurred suddenly on the main airstrip.

The statement said that the company in charge of carrying out maintenance will start work in the next few hours.

It is noteworthy that the interim Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni, approved on Sunday, the establishment of a control tower at Benina airport, and the expansion of parking stations, and the provision of fire engines in all airports.
