Al-Sarraj meets Salamé and his new deputy humanitarian coordinator in Libya

The head of Libya's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, met with the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salamé, in Tripoli, to discuss the developments and the UN Security Council briefing given by Salamé.

Salamé reiterated that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis, while Al-Sarraj stressed "the position his government was to defeat aggression and the need for new rules of the political process."

In a related context, the meeting also discussed the file of those affected and displaced by the capital war, as well as illegal immigration and the mechanisms to implement the program developed by the United Nations with Yacoub El Hillo, the UN's new deputy humanitarian coordinator in Libya.
