Ageilah Saleh in Benghazi to discuss the security situation

The head of Libya's parliament, Ageilah Saleh, arrived in Benghazi Friday evening, where he met with interim government Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni and a number of government officials to discuss the security situation in the city.

The participants discussed the progress of the projects of the Committee to restore stability to the city and recommended the maintenance of historical monuments, including Al-Manar Palace to preserve the heritage of Benghazi, according to a statement published by the Libyan News Agency in Benghazi.

The meeting dealt with developments in the local and international arenas, and developments in the military operations in Tripoli.

An explosion took place in Benghazi during the burial of the former Special Forces commander, Major General Khalifa Al-Mismari, killing four people and injuring 28 others, including a large number of special forces commanders.
