Germany pledged to train 1,500 Libyan policemen during a meeting of the Minister of the Interior of the Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha, with a German delegation in Tunis.
The delegation, included members of the Internal Affairs Committee of the German Parliament and the Ambassador of Germany to Libya. They discussed the "humanitarian situation of displaced persons and migrants" due to the ongoing war south of Tripoli, according to the ministry's official Facebook page said.
The German delegation also reiterated "the country's position on supporting the legitimacy of the government of national accord, which was provided for in UN resolution No. 2259."
