The head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, said the export of oil and gas faces the greatest threat since 2011, given the size of the battles and the repercussions of the war in the outskirts of the capital Tripoli.

This came during a meeting with Fayez Al-Sarraj, on Thursday at the headquarters of the Presidential Council in the capital Tripoli.

A statement published by the government of the national accord said that the Al-Sarraj was briefed on the efforts of "the National Oil Corporation and the Brega oil company to continue fuel supplies in the capital and various areas of Libya."

The meeting comes in the wake of continuing security repercussions in the capital Tripoli, a week ago the General Command of the armed forces led by Marshal Khalifa Haftar launched an operation on the capital and the western region.
