The head of Libya's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj, said that "the Libyan judiciary will provide the International Criminal Court (ICC) with files naming those implicated in war crimes and violations of the law."

This came during a telephone call received by Al-Sarraj, on Wednesday evening, with ICC Prosecutor General Fatu Bensouda, according to a statement published by the government of national accord on Facebook.

The statement added that Bensouda condemned "targeting civilian installations and endangering of civilians."

"The International Criminal Court will not hesitate to prosecute individuals accused of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, in accordance with the definitions of international law," the prosecutor said.
