New French air strikes in Chad against an armed convoy coming from Libya

The French military chiefs announced on Wednesday that warplanes launched strikes in northeastern Chad, targeting a convoy carrying heavy weapons from Libya.

"The Chadian and French authorities have decided to launch new strikes, carried out by Mirage 2000 aircraft on February 5 and 6," the French military chiefs said in a statement, quoted by Agence France-Presse.

The Chief of Staff noted that the strike carried out by "Mirage 2000 aircraft launched from N'Djamena base, supported by a drone unmanned aircraft, which made it possible to destroy 20 vehicles."
