Delegation from 23 municipalities in western Libya say that the army led by Marshal Haftar is the guarantor for not dividing the country

A delegation of sheikhs, dignitaries, and activists from 23 municipalities of the western region paid tribute to the "armed forces in the west of the country," stressing that "the army led by Marshal Khalifa Haftar is the guarantor for not dividing the country."

The Division of Military Information said that the delegation visited the Southern Disinfectment Operations Room and the Commander of the Al-Karama Operations Room, Major General Abdul Salam Al-Hassi.

The Military Information Division stated that the delegation was received by "the commander of the Sebha military district, the General Marbouk al-Ghazawi, the commander of air force operations, Major General Mohammad Manfour, and the commander of the police and military prisons department, Major General Abdullah Nur al-Din al-Hamali."

The spokesman for the General Command, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that the process of "clearing the south" reached the third stage. He pointed out that the military is implementing a "master plan" issues by Marshal Haftar.

"All the main branches of the Libyan army are working on that plan according to certain arrangements," he told a news conference in Benghazi on Wednesday.

He added: "The operation reached the third phase, the phase of cleansing the city of Sebha completely of terrorists, criminal gangs and tribal armed elements».

"The Libyan armed forces are securing the main roads in the south of the country as well as protecting oil and gas fields," he concluded.
