Police in the Baydan area, 35 kilometers north of the city of Ajdabiya, on Thursday arrested nine Egyptians who entered the country illegally.

The head of the Baydan police station, second lieutenant Mohammed al-Fakhri, tells Alwasat that 9 Egyptians who had entered the country illegally attempted to cross the Baydan area with forged documents.

Al-Fakhri added that the investigation showed that they had obtained residence document with seals issued in the eastern city of Al-Marj in exchange for money.

He pointed out that the security services are addressing all attempts to illegally cross the country as attempts to threaten national security.
