Military delegation: Turkey is able to help Libya politically, economically and militarily

The head of Libya's High Council of State Khaled al-Mishri me on Monday with a Turkish military delegation headed by Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and Turkish Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Yasar Guler.

A statement issued by the Information Office for the High Council of State said that the meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, as «"he Turkish side expressed its readiness to stand by Libya and intensify meetings and cooperation between the two countries until Libya reaches the stage of security and stability," according to the statement.

"Turkey is able to help solve some of the problems Libya is experiencing in the political, economic and military fields," the delegation said.

For his part, al-Mishri hailed the "Turkish stance towards the crisis in Libya," calling for "the lifting of the entry visa between the two countries, the return of Turkish Airlines to work in Libya, the resumption of Turkish businesses in the country," and the development of relations and cooperation. Earlier in the day, the delegation, which is visiting Tripoli, met with the head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, where he discussed "military cooperation between the two countries, especially cooperation in building Libyan defense and security capabilities through training programs and rehabilitation."
