The Commander of the Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, held an extensive meeting with a number of army officers and the commanders of the units involved in securing southern Libya in the presence of the Chief of Staff and the Commander of the Murzuq Basin Operations Room.
The General Command Information Office said on its Facebook page that the meeting, which was held at Armed Forces headquarters in Benghazi, comes within the framework of a series of meetings held by Marshal Haftar with Libyan army commanders.
The Information Office added that the meeting today "follows the meeting another meeting with commanders on Monday, to find out the readiness of all units of the armed forces and to develop plans of action against the enemy as well as to maintain security in various parts of the country."
The General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces announced that it has granted all its members, that left their units since 2011 under the amnesty law, a deadline until the tenth of next month; to re-join their military units.
"The current deadline is a follow-up to the Commander-in-Chief's report on the recruitment of all members, working in the armed forces either inside and outside Libya, who are subject to the conditions of amnesty No. 6 of 2015," the statement said.
