Libya Presidential Council PM, Fayez Serraj, described the statements made by Marshal Khalifa Haftar on acting to liberate the capital Tripoli as "irresponsible".
"It is clear that these recent statements of war contradict the spirit of the Paris Agreement," Serraj said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
"Any military attack on the capital is an irresponsible act that will push the country into civil war, Tripoli is for all Libyans," he said.
Adding, "Any Libyan has the right to come and stay as a free and peaceful citizen."
It is worth mentioning that Haftar said during a meeting with the elders of Benghazi on Thursday that the crisis in Tripoli must end soon and that he can not be silent regarding the current situation, saying "the liberation of Tripoli according to a military plan is inevitable."
