Trump nominates Chargé d'Affaires to Libya as ambassador to Tunisia

President Donald Trump has nominated Chargé d'Affaires to Libya, Donald Blome, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Tunisian Republic. 

Blome has been the Chargé d’Affairs at the Libya External Office in Tunis since July. Previously, Mr. Blome was Consul General at the United States Consulate in Jerusalem from 2015 to 2018. He also served as the Political Counselor at the American Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan and as Minister-Counselor for Economic and Political Affairs at the American Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
