UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé, met with Marshal Khalifa Haftar, at General Command headquarters in Benghazi.

The UN mission said on its Facebook page Saturday that Salamé discussed the latest developments in the Oil Crescent region and ways to get out of the current crisis.

On June 25, the General Command decided to hand over oil facilities to the interim government's Oil Corporation, based in Benghazi.

The spokesman for the General Command of the Army, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Al-Mismari said that the leadership has made 5 demands "in the interest of resuming oil exports," foremost was the appointment of Mohammed Shukri as governor of the Central Bank.

Mismari also stressed the "commitment of the General Command to the Paris agreement and support for the political process until parliamentary and presidential elections are held at the end of the year."
