Dabaiba directs plan for manditory Covid-19 vaccinations, vaccine passport application and digital database

Interim Government National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba directed the creation of a mandatory Covid-19 vaccination plan with binding administrative and legal procedures on citizens.

This came during his meeting at the Cabinet Office, with the director and deputy director of the National Center for Disease Control, and in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, according to a statement published on Tuesday.

Covid-19 Passport App and Restaurant Cards

Dabaiba stressed the need to follow up on vaccinations and address the difficulties that citizens face in receiving them, as well as issuing a phone "application and electronic cards for restaurants in accordance with international standards, which will help citizen movements, their travel, as well as creating a digital database."

The Prime Minister stressed the need to intensify the awareness campaign that accompanies vaccination and the prevention of Covid-19, stressing also the need to pay attention to combating other diseases such as tuberculosis, hepatitis, and others.

The director of the National Center for Disease Control confirmed that the center's plan will be strengthened after the arrival of three million new doses, which will help make vaccination mandatory.
