The head of Libya's National Unity Government, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, rescinded the decision of the outgoing Government of National Accord (GNA), issued last year, to establish a committee to confront Covid-19.
The order was issued in Resolution No. 2 of 2021, a copy of which was shared with Alwasat.
On Saturday, the prime minister responded to criticism on the mismanagement of the health crisis and delays in the delivery of Covid-19 vaccine doses under the previous government, vowing to launch a new campaign with a new spirit. "The people are very upset by the measures that have been taken to combat this disease and I am the first of them," Dabaiba said at the opening of the "National Conference on the Coronavirus pandemic" in the capital Tripoli.
