Libya's National Center for Disease Control announced the registration of 1,087 new coronavirus infections after the testing of 6,607 samples on Sunday.

In it's daily bulletin released on Monday, the center also noted that there were 919 recoveries from the virus and 16 deaths.

This brings the total number of infections in Libya to 146,080 cases, of which 10,981 are active, with a total of 2,402  deaths since the outbreak began in the country last March
