Libya's National Center for Disease Control announced record highs for both coronavirus deaths and infections on Monday.
According to the Center’s statement, Libya recorded 226 new cases of the virus, as well as 10 deaths and two recoveries.
The Center indicated that it had received 1157 samples, of which 302 were from Tripoli, 519 from Misrata, 163 from Benghazi, 3 from Zletin, 48 from Zawiya and 122 from Sebha.
The statement pointed out that the results showed negative 931 samples and 226 infections, 125 of which were discovered through contact tracing.
The total number of cases in Libya rose to 4,063, with 3,345 active cases, 625 recoveries and 93 deaths.
