The Ministry of Health for Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) announced 639 cases of burns and severe injuries at the "Burns and Plastic Surgery" hospital in Tripoli, and Misrata Medical Center during the first and second days of the Eid Al-Adha holiday.

The ministry said that the 420 cases in Tripoli included burns as a result of using gasoline to ignite charcoal grills and lack of care and attention when using sharp knives according to a statement.
