Sebha municipality sets a 24-hour lock down, prevents entry and exit from the city due to coronavirus outbreak

Sebha municipality announced a 24-hour curfew for 10 days as part of a number of immediate and urgent measures to confront a coronavirus outbreak, which recently appeared in the city.

The mayor of the municipality issued a  “complete curfew for 24 hours and for a period starting on Thursday, 28 May, until Monday, 8 June.”

The municipality also decided to close "all land entry points to the city and prevent entry and exit from them for the mentioned period, except for cases of illness."

The decision exempted essential organizations that work in "hygiene, health, security, the Red Crescent, electricity and water maintenance tasks" from the lockdown.
