Food and Drug Control Center announces rejection of Turkish food shipment at Misrata Port

Libya's Food and Drug Control Center announced the rejection of a cargo shipment of 943 boxes of food products from Turkey at the port of Misrata.

The center said the shipment included packets of dough containing a banned coloring (E104), in addition to coffee conatiners without nutritional labels, according to a statement released on Thursday.

In a similar context, the Food and Drug Control Office in Zliten, in cooperation with the Municipal Guard, conducted an inspection tour of some food shops and restaurants, confiscating expired food and closed cetain shops due to health violations .
