The people of Khulan in the Al-Abraq Municipality were delighted after the opening of the first drinking water well in the area on Monday, as the area has been suffering from water scarcity for 50 years.

The National Water Resources Foundation of Libya's interim government published pictures on Wednesday the people of the town atending the event.

The depth of the well is more than 650 meters and was implemented by the Foundation after previous government attempts to provide water to this area had failed. Al-Abraq Municipality is located east of the city of Shahat and Al-Bayda.
