Turkey's exports to Libya rose to $826 million during the first four months of this year, an increase of 58% compared to the same period in 2020, according to the Turkish-Libyan Business Council.

In April alone, the volume of Turkish exports to Libya increased by 228%, compared to the same month last year.

The head of the Turkish-Libyan Business Council, Morteza Qarnfil, said in a statement to Anadolu Agency that "the interest of the Government of National Unity Government headed by Abdulhamid Dabaiba, in Turkish investors, was positively reflected on the numbers of trade exchange between the two countries."

He also indicated that opportunities are available in Libya for rapid investments in some sectors, such as energy, defense industries, foodstuffs and recycling. He stressed that they aim to raise the volume of Turkish exports to Libya to the level of 10 billion dollars annually, stressing that reaching the mentioned figure is not difficult.
