The Benghazi International Trade Fair, organized by the eastern branch of the Council of Business Owners, was launched under the auspices of the Export Development Center in the Tibesti Square area of the city of Benghazi.
The exhibition, which started on Sunday, October 17 and will continue until October 21, is witnessing the participation of many local companies and factories, as well as foreign ones from Egypt and Tunisia, specialized in the fields of real estate investment, construction, industrial equipment, home furnishings and food industries. The small and medium businesses from various regions of Libya are also participating.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said in a statement that the exhibition comes within the framework of supporting local industries, finding foreign markets for national products conforming to standard specifications, and enhancing cooperation and trade exchange with neighboring countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Export Development Center, the Director General of the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Privatization Affairs, the Chairman of the Steering Council of the Municipality of Benghazi, the Chairman of the Business Owners Council in the Eastern Region, the Italian Consul, and a number of dignitaries, businessmen and interested persons.
