The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Investment, Promotion and Privatization, Jamal Al-Nouisri, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Tunisia to Libya, Saad Al-Ajili, in the presence of the commercial attaché, the cultural attaché, and advisors to the Tunisian embassy.

The meeting discussed several files, the most important of which is “the need to take the necessary practical measures to activate the work between the private sectors of the two countries, and to overcome all obstacles in this framework.”

The two parties also expressed, according to a statement published by the authority, "the desire for a real partnership between them, activating the border free zone, working to establish a free trade zone, opening common international markets, and working on preparing a plan for partnerships between distinguished Libyan and Tunisian companies, under the auspices and support of the export development centers in the two countries."

The two parties agreed to form a technical team to prepare a practical implementation plan for activating the private sector in the two countries, in addition to preparing for holding investment meetings in several fields between investors.
