The Economy Undersecretary for Commercial Affairs, Suhail Abushiha, announced on Tuesday the organization of a Libyan-French economic forum that will include the participation of the Chambers of Commerce from the two countries during the period from October 10 to 12.
This came during his reception on Tuesday of France's ambassador to Libya, Béatrice Le Fraper Du Hellen, in the presence of the embassy's trade attaché. The meeting discussed the framework of activating and developing economic cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement published by the ministry.
Abushiha stressed the depth of the Libyan-French relationship, pointing out that "France is one of the most important trading partners for Libya in the EU region, and expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Economy to provide possible facilities for French companies and institutions to enter the Libyan market." He also offered "marketing for French products that are of quality and acceptable to the Libyan consumer, with the aim of increasing the volume of trade exchanges that have seen a significant decline over the past years."
