Libya’s oil output has risen to 270,000 barrels per day as the OPEC member ramps up export activity following the easing of a blockade, a Libyan oil source told Reuters on Thursday.

The source spoke on condition of anonymity.

A number of Libyan oil companies began operations in oil fields and ports after the National Oil Corporation announced on September 19 that it had lifted force majeure from "safe" facilities.

The announcement came after the disclosure of an agreement to open oil facilities between Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Presidential Council deputy, Ahmed Maiteeg.
