Libya's National Oil Corporation announced that the losses due to the closure of oil installations, the suspension of production and export operations amounted to $9.8 billion in the 241 days since January 18.

The NOC renewed its call for: “the immediate removal of mercenaries from of its facilities in order to preserve the security of employees and the integrity of infrastructure,” stressing that it “will not tolerate any act that might put the lives of employees in danger or expose facilities to damage or destruction, due to illegal military activity."

They noted in a statement, last Thursday, "the occurrence of an gunfire exchanges at Sharara oil field" in the southwest of the country, expressing grave concern about the continued exposure of Sharara field, which is affiliated with the Akacus Oil Operations Company, to security breaches threatening the lives of its employees and the safety of its facilities.
