According to a technical source, work has been resumed at Libya's Sarir refinery after maintenance was performed to fix production issues.

The source tells Alwasat that "the Mesla field resumed to production of 30,000 barrels per day ... 10,000 of which are for the refinery and 20,000 for Hariga port to fill storage tanks."

The source explained: "The port is still under force majeure and technically it is not possible to pump just 10,000 barrels per day as it would cause some problems, hence it was agreed to raise the field’s production to 30,000 barrels, 20,000 of which will be stored in tanks and exported after the force majeure is lifted. 10,000 barrels will be directed to the refinery to produce oil products."
