Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) said that the forced decline in oil and gas production has caused financial losses exceeding $4.3 billion since January 17th.

In a statement, the NOC called for the necessity of "lifting the blockade imposed on its oil facilities and resuming oil and gas production in order to advance the national economy," pointing to its continued efforts to provide sufficient quantities of fuel for all Libyans throughout the country, despite the difficult conditions in the country.

The statement pointed out that they continue to provide fuel to the residents of the eastern regions through the available ports along the coastal strip and that a gas tanker and two diesel tankers are preparing for unloading in the port of Benghazi, on Wednesday. The NOC will also provide the city of Tobruk and the rest of the eastern region with fuel directly from the city of Benghazi.
