The head of Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, renewed the call for the reopening of oil ports and installations, pointing to the urgent need for oil revenues to confront the coronavirus.

In a video recording released by the NOC, Sanalla said: “The world countries allocated large sums of money to confront this pandemic and we now urgently need funds to confront this disease.” He added, “The only source of income for Libya has been halted and hinders that process."

The total losses of oil revenues are estimated at about $ 3.8 billion since the closure of oil facilities in January, while the average daily losses amounted to about $38.9 million. The daily loss in production has reached 1,140,000 barrels.
