The American Embassy in Libya said that the tenth "American-Libyan" economic dialogue, brought together representatives of the Government of National Accord (GNA) and Libyan National Army (LNA) General Command.
The embassy added that the wide presence in the dialogue confirms that "the Libyans can draw a path that would provide security and prosperity, through international support, which includes the efforts of the United Nations Special Representative to Libya Ghassan Salame," according to a statement.
The embassy hosted dialogue activities over the past two days in Tunisia, which witnessed discussion of "policies and practices that enhance the Libyan people's confidence in transparency and sound governance of economic and energy institutions."
During the dialogue, the participants exchanged information about the state of Libya's resources, sovereign economic institutions and international companies interested in investing in Libya while discussing innovative ways to overcome the challenges hindering economic growth.
Experts from the Energy, Treasury, State departments and the US National Security Council participated in the dialogue, along with Libyan economic institutions, led by the National Oil Corporation.
