Libya is pumping 1.25 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil, the head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Wednesday.

Mustafa Sanalla made the remarks at a conference in Tunis on the work of the NOC and the projects it carries out, according to the Reuters news agency. The NOC aims to increase the average daily production to 1.6 million barrels in the next two years, a quantity that was produced before 2011.

In September, KPC revealed that oil production increased by 23% in July from the previous month to record revenues of $ 2.1 billion, an increase of $403 million.
