Libya's oil sector rises 6% in Q3 2019

The oil sector led Libyan financial resources to rise higher than expected during the third quarter of this year 2019, reaching 37.23 billion dinars, compared to 35.10 billion dinars estimated for the period, an increase of 6%.

Oil receipts rose in the third quarter of this year to 24.63 billion dinars, an increase of 24% from an estimate of 19.8 billion dinars, according to a report by the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

Tax revenues also rose to 1.021 billion dinars, compared with an estimated 900 million dinars, an increase of 13%.

Meanwhile, customs revenues fell an estimated 61% to 2.340 billion dinars , while the telecom sector recorded 1.87 billion dinars, a decline of 67%.
