The National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Tuesday that its subsidiary Harouge Oil Operations has replaced reservoir number seven at Ras Lanuf Oil Port, which has a capacity of 500 thousand barrels of crude oil, noting that this project will contribute to the increase of storage capacity in the port to the highest level since 2016.

"This project will reflect positively on the production process and prevent the need to stop production fields, especially in the winter season, during which bad weather disrupts oil port operations," it said in a statement.

Pointing out that "there are also preparations for the establishment and replacement of reservoirs 4 and 12, which were damaged during the military actions in 2016."

The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, and the members of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, also expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the process of replacing the reservoir number seven in these difficult circumstances.
