NOC announces the re-operation of 'Industrial Complex 2' at the Sarir field

Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that it had restarted Industrial Complex II at the Sarir oilfield, which had been shut down in May due to technical malfunction.

The company explained that the re-operation of the complex will help to increase production gradually and add up to 60 thousand barrels per day, where the current production of oil bed field about 155 thousand barrels per day, according to the Libyan News Agency in Tripoli.

The Sarir field in the Sirte Basin, which is operated by the Arab Gulf Oil Company of the National Oil Corporation, it is one of the largest oil fields in Libya, has reserves of 4.8 billion barrels.
