Libya's oil and gas revenues reached $1.87 billion in April, up 22% from the previous month as oil prices rose, the country's National Oil Corporation (NOC) said in statement on Sunday.

"The main objective of the National Oil Corporation's strategy for the next five years is to increase production levels and national oil revenues," said Mustafa Sanalla, the company's chairman.

He noted the success of the Oil Corporation in maintaining production levels and mitigating the risks of conflict, by developing strong crisis response plans and ensuring continuity of operations.

"The situation has not stabilized yet, and there is no doubt that the escalation of the conflict inside the country will disrupt national operations either directly or by creating a security vacuum that allows extremists to achieve their ends."
