Sirte's Oil & Gas Manufacturing Company announced on Monday the resumption of methanol exports from the company's cargo berths after more than a year of suspension.
The company said in a press release that the tanker Emera entered the cargo berth No. 1 to ship about 10.3 thousand metric tons of the methanol product. The company expected "completion of shipping on Tuesday morning with the tanker heading to the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands."
It is noteworthy that there is another shipment estimated at 10 thousand metric tons which will be marketed externally early next April, according to the Marketing Department of the National Oil Corporation.
