Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui proposed the export of Tunisian products (agricultural and industrial) to Libya in exchange for oil during his visit to Tripoli on Tuesday.

The Tunisian Foreign Ministry said that Jhinaoui discussed "ways to develop economic and trade cooperation and promote Tunisian agricultural and industrial exports in exchange for the importation and refining of Libyan crude oil to Tunisia," with Fayez Serraj, the head of Libya's Presidential Council.

The Tunisian foreign ministry also added that Jhinaoui held an extended working session with Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala, "devoted to discuss ways to advance political settlement in Libya in the light of recent developments and help implement the road map of the United Nations and what was agreed upon at the Paris meeting."
