Qaryounis Police Department officers arrested two people in possession of three ancient Egyptian artifacts.

These two suspects were arrested in Tobruk, before completing a deal to sell the antiquities in the city of Benghazi in exchange for 4.5 million dinars, according to a statement issued by the Benghazi Security Directorate.

The Security Directorate confirmed that it will reveal details of that crime in the next few hours.

On November 22, another group of artifact smugglers was arrested in the city of Benghazi during a sting operation.
